Swati Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Chicago in Walk-Off Win
|
The Hitmen had to overcome a fine effort from Brooklyn pitcher Fred Price to grab a narrow 5-4 win at SouthSide Park. Price went 7.2 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Chicago reliever Ch'ang-chieh Tann was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Tokaji Goto took the loss for Brooklyn. The Black Knights fall to 10-19 and continue their lackluster start in 2028.
Yusuf Swati was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Chicago third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Swati. "Everyone's feeling pretty positive after that win."
