Buzzard's Bay rode a fine outing from starter Arata Shimizu to victory over the Frisco Rams at Outlander Park. The final score was 4-2. Hidekazu Komatsu earned the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 1st of the year. The win lifts Buzzard's Bay to a record of 1-1.

Yoshihisa Nan had a critical at-bat with no one out in the top of the ninth. The Buzzard's Bay pinch hitter came through with a run-scoring single to put Buzzard's Bay in front, 3-2.

Frisco manager Enrique Ramírez said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
