Caterpillars Lose, 5-3, at The War Dome
|
The War Dome was the site of a competitive game between the Peoria Caterpillars and Chicago Titans.
Chicago catcher Jaime García had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Peoria Caterpillars, 5-3. Chicago starter Alistair Lymer was credited with the win after throwing 104 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 8-11. Jeff Christopher picked up the save, his 8th.
Chicago took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Prakoso Kartini stroked a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Titans.
In postgame comments to the Chicago Herald, Kartini said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
