Canadians Lose, 6-4, at The Hole
|
Roberto Flores had a good game, but he could not keep the Vancouver Canadians from falling, 6-4, to the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Hole. The Vancouver shortstop went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Ilpo Vuorinen got the win, improving to 10-4. He held the Canadians to 2 runs on 2 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 3. Vicente Valenzuela converted his 6th save in 7 tries.
Doing his part for Pasadena was right fielder Roberto Trevino, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Trevino went 1 for 5.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Pasadena skipper Hervé Barthélémy. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
Pasadena goes to 67-47, Vancouver to 64-50.
