Pasadena had no answer for Vancouver Canadians hurler Ernesto Villegas, who overwhelmed Bumblebees hitters as the Canadians coasted to a 6-1 victory. Bob Johnston got credit for the save for Vancouver. It was his 3rd of the year. This win makes it 5 in a row for Vancouver.
With the bases empty and two out in the top of the sixth inning, right fielder Scotty Hudson delivered big for the Canadians. Vancouver was leading 2-1 when he belted a solo home run.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Villegas said after the game.
