Raiders Need Extras to Top Freedom
The Reno Raiders and Philadelphia Freedom put on quite a show at House of Pain.

Mark Newman helped his team muscle past the Philadelphia Freedom, 8-5. In the game, the Reno second baseman went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was Daladhisvara Harishandra's in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Natsuo Saito took the loss for Philadelphia.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Newman hit a fastball from Natsuo Saito for a 3-run home run. The Raiders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We saved our best for last," said Newman.

The Raiders raised their record to 54-57.
