Freeze Take Down Raptors, 8-5
|
The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at The Ice Box, knocking off the Omaha Raptors, 8-5. On the mound for Minneapolis was left-hander Ho Chang, who played a pivotal role in the win. The save was credited to Doyle Sullivan, his 2nd. The Minneapolis winning streak has now reached 4 games.
Yao-pang Chen's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Freeze. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Minneapolis leading 1-0, the shortstop hit a sacrifice fly.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Chen told the Minneapolis News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
