The Minneapolis Freeze overcame a good performance by Billings designated hitter Way-ming Wang to knock off Billings, 8-5, at Cobb Field. Wang was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The save went to Ronaldo Pérez, his 6th this season. With the victory, the Freeze record now stands at 49-62.
Minneapolis left fielder Yodo Nomura contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, Nomura was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs.
