Minneapolis Freeze starter Sylvester Richardson pitched a strong game against the Billings Mustangs at Cobb Field, leading the Freeze to a 4-3 win. The winning pitcher was Richardson, now 5-9. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 2. Xian Wang earned the save for Minneapolis, his 4th of the year.

In the top of the 6th, third baseman Dharmamandhu Subhangi gave Minneapolis the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Freeze had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Billings pitcher Tony Varela changed that -- and Minneapolis went on to win.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Richardson.

Minneapolis is now 48-62, while Billings is 66-44.
