Mustangs Fall Short at Pasadena
The Billings Mustangs got a superb performance from pitcher Takeshi Gato. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pasadena. The Bumblebees won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Gato was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. Picking up the save was Hulusi Mumcu, his 23rd. The Bumblebees' win now puts them at 63-44.

Jaideva Veerender contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped send Pasadena to the win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Veerender said after the game.
