The Minneapolis Freeze sent the home crowd home smiling from The Ice Box.
Minneapolis right-hander Sylvester Richardson made an effective start against the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Ice Box, leading his team to a 5-4 win. Doyle Sullivan got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Minneapolis trailing 4-3, Dave Morton hit a fastball from Hulusi Mumcu to left-center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Freeze had a walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Morton said.
The current losing streak for Pasadena has reached 4 games.
