Mustangs Prevail, 2-1, Over Chicago

The Billings Mustangs picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Chicago Titans, 2-1. Starting pitcher Amayas Nyamu, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Sherwin Aberin, credited with the save, is now 6 for 6 in save opportunities. Billings leads the Blake Camden League B.J. Birdie League by 12 games.
The Mustangs beat the Titans in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single António Ramos produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Chicago pitcher Paul Cochran, Ramos gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Nyamu said.
