Loss to Titans Extends Minneapolis Losing Streak
|
The Minneapolis Freeze got a sterling performance from second baseman Doeke de Wit, but the Titans still prevailed, 5-4. de Wit was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 2-2 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Mai Do got the win, improving to 5-5. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The losses continue to pile up for Minneapolis, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.
Eric Humphrey delivered for Chicago in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run off Minneapolis pitcher Andrew Johnson put Chicago in front, 2-0.
