Marauders Walk It Off for 15th Win of Season
|
The Maple Marauders walked off with a big win today at Legends Park.
The Maple Marauders did just enough to sneak past the Bloomington Blazers, 4-3, at Legends Park. Maple pitcher Dylan Butlin earned player of the game honors. Maple reliever Claude Howard was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Austin Price took the loss.
Maple won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With two outs and Austin Price on the mound for Bloomington, right fielder Oscar Hunt hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Marauders fans to their feet.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Hunt told the Maple Gazette.
The Blazers fall to 12-16 and continue their uneven start to the 2028 season.
