Death Stars Take Close Win Over Freeze
|
The Minneapolis Freeze extended their losing streak with a loss to the Detroit Death Stars.
The Detroit Death Stars topped the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-4, in Blake Camden League action at The Ice Box. The player of the game was Detroit pitcher and Little Clacton, England native Sam Hatt. Gaudêncio Deplazes notched his 3rd save in 6 chances.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, José Díaz hit a sacrifice fly. The Death Stars took the lead, 5-4.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Detroit manager Mitchell Drover.
The losses continue to add up for Minneapolis, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
