Joplin got a strong outing from Stephen Pearson as the Fireballs defeated the Omaha Raptors, 4-2, at The Firepit. In 7 innings, Pearson surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Joplin's record now stands at 48-48, placing them 4th in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division.
Joplin second baseman Keith Dalley contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Dalley was 1-4.
