The Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Detroit Death Stars, 7-3, at The Death Star. Pasadena center fielder Dennis Mayne was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Ilpo Vuorinen picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4.
