Chicago had no answer for Detroit Death Stars starter Jason Atkinson, who flummoxed Titans hitters as the Death Stars cruised to a 7-1 victory. Atkinson got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 2 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. Atkinson allowed no earned runs. Gaudęncio Deplazes nailed down his 2nd save.

Detroit catcher Valentín Velasco made his contribution to the Death Stars cause with a double in the top of the second inning. For the day, Velasco was 2-4 with 2 doubles.
