The Peoria Caterpillars defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 10-3, in Blake Camden League action at The Cave at Barton Springs, with Peoria left fielder Steve Bailey named player of the game. The winner was Felipe Medellín, who threw 104 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 10 hits. The 6th-place Caterpillars improved to 38-54.

Bailey came through with some timely hitting for Peoria. With the score 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Bailey hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made it 6-3, Peoria.
