Chicago starter Alistair Lymer pitched effectively against the Philadelphia Freedom at The Bell. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Getting the save was Jason Hunter, his 15th. This win makes it 5 in a row for Chicago.
Chicago took a 4-3 lead on Paahana Lima's 36th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Lima hit in the top of the seventh, left Philadelphia pitcher Marcus Clifton visibly frustrated.
"We're a pretty talented bunch when we're playing well," said Lymer. "I think we showed that here."
