The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Antioch Coal Miners, 14-4, in Blake Camden League action at Stanley Park, with Vancouver second baseman Horiuchi Rin named player of the game. The win puts the Canadians at 52-37, while the Coal Miners drop to 43-46.

Roberto Flores aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Flores told the Vancouver Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
