Freeze Come Back Late to Top Argonauts

The Freeze had to overcome a good performance from Astoria pitcher Bowo Kartodirdjo to claim a 5-3 win at Golden Fleece Park. Kartodirdjo went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was credited to Iván Vázquez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Kakuzo Kobayashi took the loss. Minneapolis currently is in 6th place in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division at 41-48.
Had Dharmamandhu Subhangi not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Subhangi hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Freeze.
"It was a solid team effort," said Subhangi after the game.
