Philadelphia shortstop Luis Paredes had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-5, to Detroit at The Death Star. Paredes went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Detroit reliever Carl Pollard picked up the win to move to 5-1. Kalidas Keskar suffered the loss. With the win, the Death Stars improved to 55-30.

Detroit took a 8-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Jagatkarna Priyodarshi hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Death Stars fans to their feet.

Priyodarshi told the Detroit News: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
