Shelton, Caterpillars Too Much for Mustangs

Not everyone stuck through the 43-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Getting a good performance from first baseman Logan Shelton, the Peoria Caterpillars defeated the Billings Mustangs, 7-3. Shelton was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Caterpillars. Peoria now sits in last place in the Blake Camden League B.J. Birdie League at 35-50.
Shelton in the bottom of the third had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Caterpillars leading 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run.
"I know we have our doubters," said Billings manager Keith Irwin. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
