The Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Reno Raiders, 9-4, at House of Pain. Pasadena first baseman Al Courtney was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Barend Bilderbeek was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Vicente Valenzuela earned the save for Pasadena, his 5th.
