Late Rally by Fireballs Secures Win
The Joplin Fireballs downed the Detroit Death Stars, 5-3, at The Firepit. Keith Dalley led the way, going 3-for-4 for Joplin. Joplin reliever Oliver Cervantes picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-2. Carl Pollard was collared with the loss. Joplin bumps their record to 40-43 with the win.

Phil Adriaens's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Joplin. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Joplin trailing 3-2, the first baseman hit a run-scoring single.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Dalley told reporters after the game.
