Watson hits 2 home runs to Pull Raiders to .500
|
Reno designated hitter Dave Watson played a vital role in his team's 19-7 triumph over Detroit. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 5 for Reno. Reliever Orinosuke Matsuoka picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Lorenzo Ortega took the loss. The Raiders sit in 5th place in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division with a record of 39-39.
Doing his part for Reno was second baseman Noah Knightley, who stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Knightley was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Reno skipper Alex Hensley.
