Israel Leads Mustangs to Win over Bombers
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Billings Mustangs and Bronx Bombers were able to complete their ballgame.
Benefiting from Mendel Israel's productive game, the Billings Mustangs downed the Bronx Bombers, 8-5. Israel was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Mustangs. Billings has now won 4 games in a row.
Carlos Flores's at-bat in the top of the seventh was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 5-5. The Billings center fielder hit a 2-run single off Arslan Halit to put the Mustangs up.
