Rin, Canadians Too Much for Bumblebees
|
The Vancouver Canadians cruised to a 15-4 win over the Pasadena Bumblebees at Stanley Park today. Horiuchi Rin led the way, going 4-for-5 for Vancouver. Bob Johnston sewed up the save, his 2nd. The second-place Canadians are now 43-32, the Bumblebees 41-34.
Phillip Lewis went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs against the Bumblebees. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Vancouver in front, 1-0.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Vancouver manager John Harrison.
