The Bronx Bombers bested the Astoria Argonauts, 6-4, at Golden Fleece Park. Andrew Switzer was named player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 18th save of the year was Juan Manuel. Bronx is now 32-40. Astoria is 36-36.
Michael Krause had a nice at-bat for the Bombers with two out in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 2nd, the shortstop hit a run-scoring single, which would prove important in the Bronx win.
"We're a pretty talented bunch when we're playing well," said Switzer. "I think we showed that here."
