The Minneapolis Freeze eked out a 6-5 win versus the Bronx Bombers at Bronx Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Xian Wang, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Wang, now 4-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 12. Kazushige Kichida closed it out for his 1st save.

Minneapolis grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Shoin Ohara hit a run-scoring triple. For the day, Ohara went 2-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ohara said after the game.

The Freeze move to 36-31 with the win, while the Bombers drop to 31-37.
