Reno got an elite performance from starting pitcher Guo-quiang Zhào in taking a 6-1 decision over the Astoria Argonauts. The Raiders improved to 31-37.

Flexing his muscles for Reno was Dave Watson. The designated hitter had a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth for the Raiders. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Watson went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Reno Raiders manager Alex Hensley.
