Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Bloomington Blazers got the win.
The Bloomington Blazers got a stellar performance from pitcher Tony Baltiérrez, who handcuffed the Oklahoma City offense en route to a 4-2 win at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Baltiérrez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 5, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-1.
Also pitching in was Bloomington first baseman Jim Winter, who hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, Winter was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It was a good effort all around," said Winter.
