Freeze Rally For 8-5 Win
|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Dave Morton, the Minneapolis Freeze defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-5. Morton was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Freeze. Minneapolis reliever Ronaldo Pérez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Chan De was saddled with the loss. The Freeze saw their record improve to 35-29.
Dimitri Weniaminoff made it 5-4 in favor of Minneapolis when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Freeze went on to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Weniaminoff said.
