The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at The Ice Box, knocking off the Chicago Titans, 8-2. On the mound for Minneapolis was right-hander Sylvester Richardson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Richardson went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-6. The losses continue to mount for Chicago, which has now dropped 7 in a row.

Yu Qiu's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 2-2. The Minneapolis catcher hit a run-scoring single off Paul Cochran to put the Freeze up.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Chicago manager Chris Carpenter.
