Fireballs Topple Canadians as Madgouran Shines
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Arthur Madgouran, the Joplin Fireballs defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 6-2. Madgouran went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Fireballs. Liu-chun Ren got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Joplin is now 32-29.

Madgouran's nice game included a clutch 2-run home run in the bottom of the first.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Madgouran.
