The New York Mafia buried the Dallas Texans, 13-2, under a barrage of hits. Allan Jackson led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for New York. Curt Rhodes picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-1. He struck out 7 in 9 innings. New York, now 15-10, has gotten their season off to a good start.

In the top of the fourth inning, shortstop Derrek Anderson came through big-time for the Mafia. With New York leading 5-0, he belted a grand slam home run.

Dallas manager Caleb Haley called the blowout loss "just something that happens."
