The Joplin Fireballs buried the Omaha Raptors, 13-1, under a barrage of hits. Chad Wright led the onslaught, going 4-for-6 for Joplin. The Fireballs' win now puts them at 30-27.

Wally Tattersall was vital part of the Joplin win. He was 3-6 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the fifth with one out, Tattersall hit a run-scoring double. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Fireballs.

"They took us to the woodshed," said Omaha manager António Chávez.
