The Billings Mustangs picked up a win at The Bell, knocking off the Philadelphia Freedom, 4-2. Starting pitcher Amayas Nyamu, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Davis Marés was called on to finish, recording his 17th save. Billings leads the Blake Camden League B.J. Birdie League by 9½ games.

Germán Tovar didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 3-run home run to put Billings on top, 3-0.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Billings skipper Keith Irwin.
