The Billings Mustangs turned back the Philadelphia Freedom, 5-4, at The Bell. Mendel Israel was named player of the game for his fine performance. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Billings reliever Sherwin Aberin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jesús Moreno took the loss. The first-place Mustangs have won 4 in a row.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Satoshi Kuhabara hit a 0-1 cutter from Jesús Moreno for a run-scoring double. It put Billings in front, 4-3.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Billings manager Keith Irwin.
