With right fielder Scotty Hudson leading the charge, the Vancouver Canadians defeated the Astoria Argonauts, 6-1, at Stanley Park. Hudson, who leads the BCL in extra base hits with 29, went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The Canadians improved to 35-24.
Hudson contributed when he hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. Coming with two outs and the bases empty, the home run proved to be critical to helping Vancouver get the win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Hudson told the Vancouver Daily.
