Astoria and Vancouver got after it at Stanley Park.
Astoria starter Le-song Kao pitched effectively against the Vancouver Canadians at Stanley Park. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Kao got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Kao allowed 2 earned runs.
Also having an impact was left fielder Abdul-Muttalib Yunus, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second for Astoria. For the game, Yunus went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs.
"Good win for us," said Yunus. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
With the win, the Argonauts improved to 30-28.
