The inspired effort of Minneapolis third baseman Dharmamandhu Subhangi was not enough to prevent a 9-7 loss to the Detroit Death Stars. Subhangi was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Takeji Ogawa got the win, improving to 5-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 10 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Cheng-en Huang was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.

The Death Stars got a big at-bat from left fielder Jack McDonald. For the game, McDonald was 1-3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 41st hit of the season gave Detroit a 5-4 lead.
