The Minneapolis Freeze coasted to a win over the Detroit Death Stars, 12-1. Yu Qiu had a good day at the plate for Minneapolis. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Freeze improve their record to 31-27 with the win over Detroit.

Qiu provided the big break for the Freeze in the top of the second inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double, helping Minneapolis to get the win.

Detroit manager Mitchell Drover called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
