Pasadena Bumblebees starter Hidetada Abe turned in a top-notch performance against the Detroit Death Stars at The Hole. The result was a win for the Bumblebees, 8-2. In 6.1 innings, Abe surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Bumblebees improved to 28-27.

Roberto Trevino had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Bumblebees. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Pasadena trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Trevino.
