The Minneapolis Freeze stymied the Philadelphia Freedom, 7-2, at The Ice Box. Éric Cuny, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Minneapolis. The Freeze bumped their record to 29-25 with this latest triumph.

In the bottom of the third with one out, the Freeze were let down by their defense. With Minneapolis trailing 2-1, Cuny hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It could have been more costly, but the Freeze were able to get the win.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Minneapolis manager Fernando Vargas.
