Mustangs Turn Back Joplin, 3-1

Billings got a strong outing from Barnabé Bacm as the Mustangs defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 3-1, at Cobb Field. Billings is now 36-20, 8 games up in the Blake Camden League B.J. Birdie League.
The Mustangs beat the Fireballs in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Way-ming Wang produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Joplin pitcher Liu-chun Ren, Wang gave his team a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Bacm told the Billings Citizen.
