Shibata Helps Reno Cruise to 12-3 Win
Raiders center fielder Hitoshi Shibata put his stamp on his team's 12-3 win over the Omaha Raptors. Shibata was 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Reno in the contest. Eduardo Marino got the win, improving to 4-4. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Daladhisvara Harishandra finished to wrap up his 4th save.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fifth when Shibata hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Raiders into the lead, 4-1.

"We maximized our offense today," said Reno skipper Alex Hensley. "That makes everyone's life easier."

Reno, now 24-29, holds 6th place in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division.
