Canadians Get Past Peoria for 1-0 Win
|
Vancouver Canadians starter Ernesto Villegas pitched a strong game against the Peoria Caterpillars at Stanley Park, leading the Canadians to a 1-0 win. Jim Unknown got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The Canadians have an impressive 33-20 record.
Gandhesa Nilima had the critical at-bat for Vancouver. With two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It gave Vancouver the 1-0 walk-off win.
