Peoria beat Omaha at The Cave at Barton Springs, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Daniel Bonnin, who earned player of the game honors. Bonnin went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-3. Hua Tann finished to wrap up his 12th save.
Carlos Souza contributed to the Peoria win. The 28-year old second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Souza was 1-3. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager António Chávez.
Omaha, at 20-31, has lost 5 straight.
